Yellowstone Internships
Are you pursuing a 2 or 4 Year Degree and looking for internship opportunities?Develop your outdoor leadership skills while learning about the science and natural history of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, as well as internal business operations. Shadow lead guides in Yellowstone to gain the skills necessary to independently lead trips. Gain valuable administrative skills and carry out crucial organizational tasks, such as scheduling staff, assisting with food prep, and helping with maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Develop your final project and work toward leading your own adventures and share what you know with guests. We will work with you and your Advisor so that you receive course credits. Successful completion of internship may lead to full-time employment.
Yellowstone Apprenticeships
Are you new to guiding in Yellowstone or have guided professionally less than 3 years? Develop your Yellowstone knowledge base, with experienced and seasoned guides. Our 6-Week Training Program is suited to experienced guides new to Yellowstone, as well as guides just starting their careers. Professional development includes Wilderness First Responder Certification, Avalanche Level I Certification (for Winter Guides), Yellowstone Guide Certification, and guide shadow training.
Yellowstone Guides
Are you an experienced Yellowstone Guide, looking to work and play with a fun and dynamic team? Share your knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem with Big Sky Adventures & Tours guests. Work with lead guides to develop your unique guiding style. Lead guests on hiking, snowshoeing, and road-based interpretive adventures. Understand guests’ needs and ask on-going questions to assist them in creating the appropriate Yellowstone experience for them. Teach guests about the flora, fauna, geology, and natural history of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, while they see it firsthand. Adventures include single-day trips, as well as possible multi-day trips, with overnights in lodging accommodations.
Operations
Are you a hands-on, behind-the-scenes, get-it-done kind of person? Consider joining the Operations Team! The Operations Team is the glue that holds the BSAT Universe together. Responsibilities include:
Talking to guests, answering questions, and helping the guest choose the appropriate adventure for them
Making and managing reservations
Communicating with guides
Managing day-to-day logistics, such as lunch orders, overseeing gear and equipment maintenance, inventory management, restocking supplies
